My Materials

Faber Castell Polychromos

These pencils come in an amazing range of colours.  They are the best colour pencil for fine detail due to their firmness compared to other brands, I love their versatility and depth, and they blend really well with other brands.

   Staedtler Mars Lumograph 100

I love these pencils so much, they are everything I have ever needed in a graphite pencil.  They are incredibly versatile, smooth and wonderful for building layers.
They also work very well when doing fine detail such as edges on features. I recommend these for all artists at whatever stage of their artistic journey.

Paper

Clairefontaine Maya Smooth 225gsm

I like this paper because it has a slightly rough texture which is great for absorbing the pencils, it is wonderful for texture and depth especially when doing fur on my wildlife and pet portraits.

Daler Rowney Smooth Heavyweight 220gsm

I love this paper for its slightly rough texture, its smooth but has that little rough edge that allows the versatility of the mars lumograph graphite pencils to really shine.   Its wonderful for building layers,  smooth and evenly.
